Ana Luís de Sousa is currently the Executive Secretary of the Associação Portuguesa da Energia, position she began in early May. She is an invited assistant professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico, where she obtained her PhD in 2023,
Ana collaborates with the Association since 2020, when she was one of the founders of the Future Energy Leaders Portugal program maintaining, until recently, the position of Program’s Secretary-General and is also one of the founders of Mulheres da Energia.
Her academic training includes three master's degrees in Civil, Petroleum and Mechanical engineering. She holds the title of specialist in hydraulics and water resources, and energy from the Institution of Engineers (Ordem dos Engenheiros).
She has experience as a project developer, is a researcher at the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment of Instituto Superior Técnico and was also an advisor to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate.
