Jorge Esteves

Head of Infrastructure and Networks Division ERSE

BIO

From 2004, Jorge Esteves is the Head of the Infrastructure and Networks Division at ERSE, the Portuguese energy regulatory authority, involved with electricity, gas and electric mobility sectors.

Jorge Esteves received his graduation degree, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal during 1983, 1986 and 1992, respectively.

Before 2004, Jorge Esteves developed his career as University Professor and scientific researcher within Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, and since 2004 he is Coordinator Professor at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, Politécnico de Lisboa.

Representing ERSE, he is member of the CEER/ACER (Council of European Energy Regulators/ Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators) Electricity Working Group.
