Ana Fontoura Gouveia is the Portuguese Secretary of State for Energy and Climate since January 2023.
Mrs. Fontoura Gouveia holds a PhD in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics and is the author of several publications on public policy.
From end-2019 to 2022, Mrs. Fontoura Gouveia was the Economic Advisor to the Prime-Minister of Portugal and Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at the Nova School of Business and Economics.
Previously, she worked at the Portuguese Central Bank (2019; 2004-2008), the European Central Bank (2009-2014), and the Research Offices of the Portuguese Ministry of the Economy and the Portuguese Ministry of Finance (2015-2018).
