Laila Chemane-Chilemba is the Vice President for Socioeconomic Development Projects with the TotalEnergies operated Mozambique LNG Project. With more than 20 years of experience on the social field 11 of those on the extractive industry.
Her contributions to the private sector are centered on advancing company business through a strategic approach to socioeconomic development (including management of impacts), an effective stakeholder engagement at all levels and catalyzing regional economic development through the oil and gas sector.
With the Mozambique LNG project, the emphasis has been in promoting social inclusion and shared value through development initiatives driven under the brand: TUNAWESA – Together we can for the stabilization and development of the northern Cabo Delgado.
