Ana Rita Gomes

Ana Gomes is a reskilled energy professional currently working as an Energy Policy Specialist at EDP. She is the Secretary General of Future Energy Leaders Portugal, a member of the Global Future Energy Leaders at the World Energy Council, and a co-founder of Mulheres na Energia.
Her career began at Total Energies in the USA, where she worked as an Exploration Geoscientist for Brazil. Later, at APETRO, she took on the role of Energy, Climate, and Environmental Policy Analyst, managing the Safety and Environment working groups and serving as the project manager of the Low Carbon Fuels Platform.
Ana holds a BSc in Geological Engineering and an MSc in Georesources and Geoenvironment from NOVA University of Lisbon. During her time at NOVA University, she worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant and researcher at the GeoBioTec Research Center. She was also awarded a Galp scholarship and earned an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.
