BIO

Angela has several years’ experience working on energy policies for the UK Government at the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. She is currently responsible for delivering the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, which has been highly successful in incentivising renewable energy generation and making the UK the lead for offshore wind. Her team is responsible for designing the auction and setting parameters that will support deployment of renewable electricity whilst minimising costs to bill-payers. Her current role also includes sponsor for the Low Carbon Contracts Company, the counterparty for the CfD, Capacity Market, Nuclear RAB, Hydrogen and CCUS schemes. Her previous energy roles have been in Energy Security and delivering new-nuclear projects.
