Currently working as a Consultant in the areas of Energy and Information Technologies, he was until March 2021 President of EDP Inovação, a position he held for 13 years.
He has a diverse experience in the areas of Energy and ICTs. He participated in the launch of companies in different areas, having been the first president of EDINFOR in the ICT area, a company that today is part of CGI Portugal. He was part, at C Level, of the team that launched the mobile operator Optimus, today NOS.
At EDP, he held a wide variety of positions, having been C Level member of the Holding and President of a number of companies, including Labelec, Hidrorumo, Eletricidade do Norte, EDP Inovação.
He was the first “Chief Information Officer” and the first Chief Risk Officer of the EDP group.
He holds a degree in Electrotechnical Energy from IST where he taught the subject “Transient Regimes in Machinery and Electrical Networks.
