Dr Bracha Halaf
Co-Founder & Managing Partner Gravity Climate
Dr. Bracha Halaf is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Gravity Climate, a VC climatech fund operating from Israel. Between 2015-2018 Bracha served as the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of Energy. During 2019-2023 years, Bracha earned her professional investment experience, as a Principal at Qure Ventures, a digital health fund. Bracha also served as the public representative board member of the Israeli Electricity Authority. Other roles and positions of Bracha during her public service include being a Board member of the U.S.-Israel Binational Science Foundation and the U.S.-Israel binational Industrial R&D foundation; a member of the National Council for Advancement of Women in Science and Technology; Chairman of the Advisory Committee for 3 National Research Institutes; and a member of the Israeli Natural Gas Authority Council. Dr. Halaf holds Ph.D in Biophysics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and M.Sc. & B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Ben- Gurion University of the Negev. She also graduated from a Senior Leadership Program of the Wexner Foundation, from the Kennedy School at Harvard University and a Program for directors and senior officers, from Tel Aviv University. Bracha is also a lecturer at the Reichman University on technological innovation for climate change adaptation.
