Jesús is the leader of our work on transmission and distribution (T&D) in Europe. He heads the team developing and leading Power Solutions, McKinsey’s digital and analytics solution for the power sector.
Examples of Jesús’ recent client work include the following:
- leading a utility’s strategic review to explore opportunities in power and gas transmission and distribution in multiple markets
- supporting a US T&D company with the development and implementation of its data and digitization strategy
- working with nongovernmental organizations in Africa as a lead expert on electrification programs, covering issues such as grid expansion, grid reinforcement, losses, collections, and tariff sustainability
- advising a European grid operator on the introduction of an advanced analytics approach to asset management
- helping a utility to design a new capital expenditure organization, processes, and tools and to reshape its operating expenditure for operations and maintenance
In other projects, Jesús has supported clients with postmerger management, helped companies capture maximum impact from digital technology and agile ways of working, and advised emerging-market utilities on containing costs through a focus on losses, collections, and cashflow sustainability.
