Dr. Jorge is the CEO and technical manager of TecnoVeritas - Services of Engineering & Systems Technology Ltd, since 1994. As Technical Manager of TecnoVeritas, he supervises all the engineering activities research and development as well as the services of engineering offered to the market.
Dr Jorge is also deeply involved in R&D projects. Dr. Jorge started his career being a Math Teacher in Portugal (1985-1988), but quickly upgraded his activity in the naval industry, starting an internship at Lisnave – a naval yard, in Setúbal, Portugal, in 1986. In 1992, he started working at Lloyd's Register of Shipping as Engineer Surveyor. Graduated in 1991, in Marine Engineering - (speciality: Offshore Vehicle Design, Drilling Engineering and Ship Transport and Operation) Department of Marine Technology – the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. In the following years, he continued studying at the University of Newcastle (England), taking a Master and a PhD in Marine Engineering.
