Manuel Luiz joined the BCG in September 2001, as an Associate, in the BCG Lisbon office. He is currently a Managing Director & Partner in the Lisbon office.
Mr. Luiz spent the past 12 years in South America, starting with a 2-year tenure in Santiago, Chile (2010-2011) and a longer, +10-year tenure in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2011-2022). He is a Core Member of the Energy Practice Group, with expertise in Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities and also Renewables.
Manuel has worked extensively in Climate & Sustainability topics and broadly in company Transformations for European, South American and African companies.
Mr. Luiz obtained his MBA from MIT-Sloan School of Management (Cambridge, MA) IN 2007. Also, he has a degree in Business Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Centro Regional do Porto (2001), where he graduated first of his Class.
Other professional experience includes consulting for Tatweer Dubai, a Governamental company within Dubai,UAE
