Maria is holding a position as Vice President for the business unit Cathode Active Material (CAM) in Northvolt. The CAM business unit is one of four in Northvolt AB, with the responsibility for the full value chain of cathode active material comprising R&D, process and plant development, project execution including engineering, construction, installation and commissioning as well as manufacturing of CAM. Before joining Northvolt (Jan 2019) Maria was Managing Director for Swerea KIMAB (2016-2018), a research institute focused on material and process development with operations in France and Sweden. Prior to that, she worked for Sandvik Coromant leading both R&D (2000-2013) as well as manufacturing (2013-2016). Academically she studied a MSc (1991-1995) at Royal School of Technology and a PhD (1995-2000) in Materials Science at Uppsala University.
