Mariana Cruz de Carvalho is an Environmental Engineer with a master’s in engineering and technology management. Her professional activity has always been linked to the energy and environment field, having started, in 2018, as a consultant on carbon footprints, using life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology. Later, she enrolled in a natural gas cogeneration power plant, where she participated in the installation’s environmental compliance and maintenance of its Management Systems for Environment and Safety. In 2020, she continued on the energy sector, with focus on renewables, when she took the role of renewable energy policy analyst in the Policy and Market Intelligence team of the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association (APREN), where she encompasses advice to members and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, research and development of studies to promote and support policy decision making, representation and defense of APREN's strategic vision next to the official entities, national and international associations and stakeholders.
