BIO

Mark is a fact-based thinker and successful entrepreneur who started his own battery manufacturing business at the early age of 20 in his father’s garden shed. Mark is the Managing Director of Telford-based battery specialists, AceOn Group that offer bespoke battery pack design and manufacture, battery distribution, residential energy storage, large scale commercial and industrial battery storage, and portable energy storage generators. He has over 30 years’ experience in the battery industry and co-founded AceOn in 2010. In April 2012, Mark’s invention was a winner of the UKTI Growth for Export when he designed and brought to market the world’s first 4-Pin AC Solar Generator with iPod sound system. Also has a passion for 2^nd life EV batteries being used in AceOn’ s portable energy storage (PES) systems to replace the 1000’s of diesel generators that are currently being used in the market. Mark is a committee member of a number of battery and renewable energy and storage related associations including being part of the advisory group of The Faraday Battery Challenge UK Government funded research and innovation programme since July 2021.
