BIO
Rui Gonçalves is Director of Strategy and Regulation at E-REDES, since 2020.
He has worked in electricity distribution for over 20 years, covering different areas, including network planning, technology and innovation, smart grids and business development.
In different roles, Rui has been deeply involved in preparing the Portuguese distribution grid to meet the challenges of the energy transition.
He represents E-REDES in ERSE’s Tariff and Advisory Councils and integrates Eurelectric’s Regulation and Network Customers Workgroup.
Rui received his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon, and Holds an MBA from the Nova School of Business and Economics.
